About Jason

Jason Robert Hill was born and raised in Ohio. He has lived for over 25 years in Los Angeles, California, where he has raised his daughter and his young nephew.

He decided to leave the business world to pursue his true life’s calling – to give to young, discouraged children what he was given by many mentors he was lucky enough to meet along the way: unconditional commitment and guidance for young men who are living with little hope for the future and many without a father to help them become happy and balanced men.

I may not be a doctor or a lawyer, but I got a PhD in not quitting, sometimes when we don’t know what to do, but don’t ever quit on yourself, ever. You are the algorithm.

“When you take definite action, you make your own luck.”

- Jason ROBERT Hill

Young Warriors started with just one boy. He was age nine at the time, and his name was Wonder. His story is all too common. He was a great kid with a lot of potential who was facing his young life and formative years without his father or any other consistent stable and principled male role model. He needed positive men to support him in his journey to become a man.

Having mentored Wonder and watched him grow into a strong, confident, and happy now 26 year old young man. Jason realized the impact he could have. He wanted to share this gift with as many boys as possible. After several meetings with community leaders, Young Warriors became a reality in 2010. It started with a small group of boys and single moms in their local community. The program was immediately successful, and before they knew it, they had single mothers coming from several hours away to participate.

At first, Jason ran the program on his personal savings and salary; however, the program grew so quickly that it became difficult to finance and manage. He soon realized that it would require a full-time focus and dedication. He took the leap, resigned from his sales position and invested the remainder of his personal savings to help these at-risk and fatherless boys.

Jason made this decision based on his spiritual beliefs and his passion for ensuring there was a place in their local community that fatherless boys could be mentored. He wanted as many boys as possible to hear the message that they are important, they have value, and there are men they can trust.

Alongside running Young Warriors, Jason now shares his unique story and hard-won wisdom in dynamic presentations for young people and their parents and educators. He is also putting the finishing touches to his first book, Becoming a Warrior.
